Fantastic Fox
One day while walking on the field with a friend we were walking under the railway bridges and went towards the river and a Fox ran...
I had gone to the shop on my break from work. There was a car parked byt the shop. A Pied Wagtail landed on the wing mirror of the car and kept flying to the window and displaying to it's own reflection. It was funny to watch him. Unfortunatly I had to get back to work so I only got a few pictures.
Sunday afternoon having a nice walk round the field. My own dogs and a friend and her dog. Saying hello to the baby lambs we saw great plumes of thick black smoke. It was coming from the direction of my friends house so we head for home. It is thankfully not her house so we carry on walking up the lane to find the source as it looks like another friends house. Turns out to be a car on fire outside Dougie's house. I had just taken Dougie home and all was quiet. The car had completely burnt out, the tires exploded, the tarmac melted. The fire brigade had got stuck in the traffic as the M6 was closed and the A34 was chock-a-block. There was not much left of the car but thank fully no one was hurt.
Monday's walk on the field saw a new adventure. The baby lambs are back, all small and cute and fluffy. Sweet little darlings they are. There is one laying down by the fence and years of experience has told me to trust my feelings to know when something is wrong. I tied my dogs up and went over to the lamb, it's head was stuck in the fence. I don't have any pictures and had no one to film it, my dog can't operate a camera lol. I got the lamb's head out of the fence and held it while it calmed down and checked it over for cuts. The lamb was fine so I let it go. It ran off happily to it's mum but looked back as if to say thank you. I love seeing the lambs grow up and get sad when they have to leave.
Easter Sunday, leisurly stroll round the field with my dogs. one ewe was not moving away like they usually do and it soon became apparent she was stuck. she had something round her neck and her leg and the more she struggled the more she got tangled up. Trying to hold a struggling Sheep and untangle it was a nightmare shadowed only by what the hell I was going to do with my dogs. I tied them to a telegraph pole in the end, The only other thing was the tree next to the Sheep and that was not going to work was it. I got her free and checked her over them let her go as I did with the lamb the other day. These sheep will be the death of me and they are not even my sheep. I didn't have my phone to call the farmer, sometimes you just have to deal with things.
