I found this hedgehog in a neighbour's garden. It was not behaving normally, it had been curled up out in the open for over 12 hours and it was very cold and a bit wet that day, so I collected it and looked after it for the night then took it to our local vet.
Shires Veterinary practice will treat almost any animal. I have seen alsorts of animals in there, horses, lemurs, tortoises, chickens and of course I have taken in lizards and snakes. Jess says she will do the best with my hedgehog and if he is ok she will release him in her garden. He appeared to have a poorly paw but as he never actually opened up I could not see him walk anywhere so don't know the extent of the damage.
I love hedgehogs they are so cute and have the sweetest faces.

A rather smug looking cow, some ducklings and a duck. taken in Endon while I was helping look for a lost Racoon.

A moorhen chick on a pond, a Buzzard on a building site and a Magpie on a sheep. All in a days dog walking.

I saw this Swan as I was out walking Jack. Not the best picture as I took it on my phone. Beautiful bird. It was hissing at us but Jack just walked past and the Swan let us pass without attacking. They get very protective this time of year and there was one a few years ago that used to attack everything even the boats. on day as I was walking along the canal a boat came along and the Swan went for it. A man on the boat grabbed his camera and went to the bow. He hung off the boat with the camera almost in the water as the Swan got nearer. I would have loved to have seen those pictures. I was walking Kain and Roden last week and one of the Swans swam over the canal to come and have a go at us. I told him off as we were no where near him and he came over to us, there was an old man there and he was laughing at me telling this Swan off.
